This is Martin – he's the MD
Martin qualified in graphic design and photography then cut his teeth in the industry back in the days of pencils, pens, drawing boards, Cow Gum and paste-up. Following jobs at design agencies both in and out of London, Martin set out as a freelance graphic designer whilst studying the CIM Diploma in Marketing Communications, before going on to establish The Clarion Portfolio over 20 years ago.
From the traditional to the latest trends and technologies, he has constantly sought to adapt the offering of Clarion as the world of communications changes and his constant reminder that 'good enough is not good enough' is evident in everything we do. He truly believes that relationships are the key to our ongoing success and he prides himself on a career of developing strong, trusted, rewarding, professional and friendly relationships with every client – in fact, they all stay with us for years.
"My passion for our industry comes from the challenge of staying ahead of the game in our fast moving world of communication and the variety it throws at us on a daily basis. When he's not working, Martin enjoys life with his family and over the years has been a 'jack of many hobbies' (and of course a master of none) including; golf, tennis, motocross, squash, skiing, snow boarding and currently racing and maintaining a rally car. He loves anything that involves socialising, the occasional curry and an even more occasional beer.
Martin's claims to fame include playing mini-rugby at the same club as Jonny Wilkinson (about 12 years before him). He made his TV debut when he took centre stage behind Hammond and Clarkson on the BBC's Top Gear programme - if you were lucky enough to catch the moment you will have seen Mike Tang - Senior Designer at Clarion also lapping up the limelight.

This is Tim – he's a Director
An Art college student in his late teens, Tim has always had a passion for design and still today nurtures a secret creative streak. He started his career 22 years ago as a junior in a local graphic designers, Tim’s career then diversified into a direct marketing role within a large charity. Where he was able to gain invaluable direct marketing experience over a four year period before expanding his career further into the sales and client services arena. Tim enjoyed 16 years of continuous service with a leading UK communications output company. Having joined as a Senior Account Manager his career flourished and before finally moving on was a board member and held the position of Sales Director for ten years. In April 2012 Tim joined The Clarion Portfolio as a partner in the business and Martin and he relish the excitement and future challenges that the developing world of The Clarion Portfolio will bring.
Tim’s involvement in the direct marketing industry spans just over 20 years and during this time has worked across a full spectrum of communication delivery channels. Relishing the opportunity at all times to work with a diverse range of clients either directly or via third parties, Tim always looks to optimise an opportunity and where possible embrace and drive out new innovative thinking.
Passionate about delivery and service Tim will always working hard to understand how to define and excite teams/clients alike to deliver the best results possible.
Tim enjoys watching and playing sports, the summer brings an appetite for playing cricket whilst the winter months revolve around rugby and football. You will find Tim most weekends standing on a touchline watching his sons playing either football or rugby.
Socialising with family and friends are a massively important part of Tims life and he has also been known to enjoy a cheeky glass of vino now and again. Major favourite red wine and guilty pleasure is an Amarone Masi.

This is Sharon - Personal Assistant to Martin
and our Office Manager
An old girl Friday, Sharon looks after Martin, the office administration, facilities management, human resources, accounts, visitors and makes coffee.
Although it’s hard to believe, Sharon started work when everyone was smoking in the office and a drink or two at lunch time was almost part of the job description! She has a wealth of experience working for entrepreneurs, Managing Directors and Chairmen of both large and smaller organisations encompassing sales, PR, marketing, exhibitions and facilities management. Sharon was involved in the first ever red noses to be produced for Red Nose Day and met with one or two A, but mostly C list celebrities during that time. However, her real claim to fame is that she was kissed by Mick Jagger.
11 years ago Sharon and her husband were made redundant and took the opportunity to go travelling visiting Fiji, New Zealand, Australia, Bali, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand thoroughly enjoying the experience despite the number of year out students.
Sharon is very active in supporting and raising funds for the local school, organising a Ball last year and again this year, helping out at Cub Scouts, Rugby and occasional Sunday School teacher. Any time remaining is taken up with some of the things she enjoys most; cooking, entertaining, gift wrapping, gardening, cinema, theatre and yoga.
If Sharon won the lottery she would make a long term dream come true and open her own tea shop or deli.

Alison McLaren – She's our Accountant
I'm the number cruncher at Clarion. I have worked in Finance departments for just under 30 years (even longer than Carol Vorderman was on Countdown) so words like debtors and creditors, cash flow and forecasts have become very much part of my everyday vocabulary.
When I'm not working the abacus, I am at home looking after my family. I am married with two children, a cocker spaniel and two fish - so not much time for free time - but I do manage to squeeze in a Pilates class on a Monday evening. At a weekend, after the household chores, I enjoy a large glass or two of Sauvignon blanc with a take-away from the local Chinese or Indian.firstname.lastname@example.org
Abi White – She's our Senior Account Director – Charity
Abi has worked both for, and with, charities for over 13 years.
Abi joined The Clarion Portfolio from The Good Agency, where she worked for nearly 10 years as the account director on clients such as WWF, NSPCC, ActionAid, RSPB and Oxfam. During that time she had overall responsibility for project delivery including strategic implementation and creative quality; ensuring that all work was delivered on time and budget to the high quality clients deserve.
Her experience spans a range of marketing disciplines including brand development, audience insight, acquisition, retention and loyalty programmes and, as a charity marketing specialist, her portfolio includes: Individual Giving – cash, regular giving, raffle, membership, product development, legacies and in-memory giving, as well as fundraising events.
Prior to her role at The Good Agency, Abi worked at FareShare, the food redistribution charity, for 3 years raising funds from charitable trusts, statutory and other sources to enable FareShare to exist as an independent charity away from parent charity Crisis, the homelessness organisation.
Abi is a singer of musicals, classical repertoire or opera with Glee clubs, choirs, choral societies or am dram societies (basically anyone who’ll have her) and is an armchair sportswoman who loves watching pretty much any sport but mainly Northampton Saints and England rugby and Liverpool FC (most of the time).
She’s a starter of crosswords, a baker of cakes and fanatical reader of a good dark crime novel as well as a lover of US dramas like Hannibal, Blue Bloods, Elementary and (guilty pleasure) Million Dollar NYC Listing.

This is Eve - She's a Senior Account Director
Being a Scottish lass, Eve started her career in advertising at Faulds Advertising in Edinburgh before moving to London as an Account Executive where she has worked for some of the big top 10 agencies - most recently Grey London.
Her early day accounts focussed on mainly Retail pieces of business - so she is very used to the fast paced reactive nature of this world. She also has experience in technology, tourism, pharmaceutical, education and FMCG sectors having worked on brands such as GSK, Teacher Training Agency, Lucozade, Brother and 3M.
As Senior Account Director, Eve has developed and implemented strategy on many projects across the UK and throughout Europe - some of which have won/short listed for Creative and Effectiveness - including Cannes, D&AD, Clios and Effie Awards.
With a real passion for music, playing the trumpet and piano - she has a great love for both classical and jazz music, but in the early days you'd mainly find her at band firstname.lastname@example.org
This is Victoria Milford – our Senior Account Manager
Victoria is a Senior Account Manager with over 8 years agency experience.
Initially starting her career in Public Relations for Fashion and Luxury Goods under the watchful eye of Mary Portas (Mary Queen of Shops), where she was immersed into the world of retail before moving to a large Home Counties integrated communications agency. Since then Victoria has worked with a number of large B2C brands and agencies within the retail and FMCG sector such as Wonderbra, Häagen-Dazs, Nature Valley, Mizuno Sport and Milwaukee power tools to name a few.
Thoroughly enjoying overseeing a project from start to finish, Victoria is committed to ensuring the best results as smoothly as possible. Having a vast amount of experience in working on integrated campaigns across the various marketing channels, she will always approach a problem with a clear understanding of the solution and the best way to achieve it.
By weekdays, a keen health fanatic so Victoria can normally be found in the gym pounding the treadmills to a bit of AC/DC. During the weekends however, being quite partial to a Gin and Tonic the local pub is the place of choice with the odd rave thrown in every once in a while. Being half Spanish, half English Victoria is at her happiest when basking in the sunshine – the hotter the better.
A huge love of travelling, beach holidays, an addiction to handbags and a music collection large enough to give Radio one station a run for it’s money, or should we say air time.

This is Ellie - She's a Account Director
Ellie has worked as a direct marketer for charities for ten years - namely at The Children’s Trust, Samaritans and Action Medical Research. Holding roles of Senior Manager and Head of Individual Giving, creating and managing all areas of Individual Giving fundraising on and offline and accountable for delivering to budget against tough targets. Ellie also has a significant interest and experience in managing, analyzing and utilizing quality data . More recently, she's been creating copy and providing consultancy in a freelance capacity for a variety of charity clients as diverse as Demelza House Hospice, RSPCA, Smile Train, Samaritans and St George’s College, Weybridge.
Ellie has a not-so-secret long-standing love affair with Poldark, much to the derision of her family. But eighteenth century romantic fiction aside, reading plays an important role in her down time, and she has an uncanny ability to block out anything (including small children) while reading something intriguing!
Ellie also enjoys street dance, more for the comedic value she adds to the classes. She’s enthusiastic but totally useless.

This is Selina - She's a Senior Account Manager
Selina is a commercially driven Senior Account Manager with a background in Public Relations, holding experience in managing multiple high-pressure, multi-channel marketing accounts. She has extensive knowledge and experience working on global brands in the Automotive, Lifestyle, Food & Beverage and FMCG sector. Selina has strong organisational skills, strategic thinking and passion for delivering results first time. Her competent and hands-on approach wins her praises with clients, delivering successful campaigns.

This is Will – he's the Studio Manager
Studio manager Will has been with Clarion for more years than he cares to remember. With his keen eye for design and detail Will has grown with the company, expanding his skill set, whilst never forgetting that the business is all about relationships that we build.
“It’s about knowing what is right for the customer. That’s not always what the customer has in mind and there’s nothing better than getting them to see themselves in a new, exciting way."
Looking through the client list on this site will give you some idea as to the clients that Will has had the chance to work alongside and long as that list may be he is always looking for the opportunity to add to it.
Outside of work Will finds that most of his spare time is spent in his role of Chairman and Coach of the Horsham Hawks Basketball Club (sponsorship welcome). He is also a deluded fan of Nottingham Forest FC. Interesting fact: Between them, Will and Tom Hanks can lay claim to two Oscar wins.

This is Mike – he's a senior designer
Mike joined Clarion the same year when Michael Owen scored that wonder goal against Argentina in the World Cup Finals. He’s highly creative, energetic and enthusiastic individual with bucket full of ideas. Mike has over 17 years experience of design and finished artwork and has been an integral member of the Clarion team for over 12 years.
Mike effectively develops creative solutions to a wide range of design challenges ranging from corporate and brand identity to advertising, web and large format media. Determined to learn WordPress one day. When he’s not designing, he’s probably sleeping and dreaming of design.
Mike decided at the age of twelve that he wanted to be a graphic designer. Drawing, painting and photography have always been a passionate focus of his. He studied Graphic Design at University of Central England.
When Mike isn’t consumed by all things work, he can be found occasionally at the local curry house! He also loves badminton, walking outdoors, spending time looking after his young daughter and he’s also a big Gunners fan.

This is Myles Read – he's a junior designer
Myles graduated with a degree in Graphic Communication and after showing standout work at a graduate fair, interned at Clarion before coming on board full-time as a Junior Designer.
Working alongside Will and Mike, Myles is constantly expanding his skill set and developing his own design style. He’s keen to explore different areas of the design work including print and digital and is always looking to expand his knowledge base (especially Photoshop hotkeys!)
Out of work hours, Myles enjoys playing sport, especially football, surfing and going to the gym. He’s a massive music lover too and has been all round the world to various festivals to enjoy bands like Arctic Moneys, Elbow and Velvet Caravan.

Nathan is an enthusiastic designer and art director with over 17 years experience, working in both agency and in-house environments, for a wide variety of brands across retail and business environments. Equally at home developing a brand or directing a shoot (preferably on location somewhere spectacular). He believes he’s in an enviable position, where he loves what he does and thrives on the creative process that comes from taking on a challenging new project.
When not stuck in the office, he loves (in no particular order) running, biking, surfing, football, live music, painting and sampling a new ale from some obscure brewery. This is Rob Allnutt – he's our Art Director
A creative director / senior writer with over 20 years experience working on major brands and challger brands alike. I have lead teams in all disciplines from direct mail, above the line, tv and radio as well as digital and experatail. I have been lucky enough to complete major campaigns in lots of industry sectors such as fmcg / business to business pharma, healthcare, charity and employee branding.
This is Richard Taylor – he's a Lead Creative
As a seasoned Art Director, Richard has been priviledged to have worked at some of London’s most creative agencies, including WCRS, Archibald Ingell Stretton, Golley Slater, and Greys. His skills have led the creative direction of high profile accounts such as Honda, Mitsubishi, the AA, EDF, and Canon.
Always on the look out for new inspiration, Richard now works as one half of a 'creative team' with wordsmith and ideas man, Rob Allnutt.
He's also resurrected the forgotten art of drawing kicking and screaming into the 21st century...
