E-commerce Website Design for Golf Retailer
As a leader in their competitive field of online golf retail, GolfOnline chose The Clarion Portfolio to design the front end user interface for their brand new e-commerce website.
With thousands of products available from many departments this e-commerce website design solution had to deliver users an online shopping experience that was intuitive, enabling them to find, filter, compare and choose the right products for them – fast! Whilst the checkout procedure had to deliver a clear, easy-to-navigate and reassuring experience.
Furthermore, this e-commerce website design offers shoppers added value via a reward points loyalty programme and gives registered users access to the ‘The 19th hole’, a private members’ club where they can view the latest golf news from around the world, player profiles, product reviews, video content, games, hints and tips for game improvement. They’ll also receive regular email updates showcasing the latest offers, information on new product launches, interviews with players and brand representatives and much more.
All the more challenging was that the basic structure for the website was already underway with the in-house developers at GolfOnline. Working closely together we were able to develop the e-commerce solution through the stages of information architecture (IA), site mapping and wire framing, and on to final user interface design (UI).
